AFSA CEO Update - CSAF Vector Newsletter

AFSA CEO Doc McCauslin passes on and encourages all members to read CSAF's latest Vector Newsletter.

July 16, 2010

Below is a message recently released by "Doc" McCauslin our CEO.  In the latest edition of General Schwartz's latest edition of Vector, he specifically notes improvements for exceptional family members.  This is from the direct resut of AFSA leadership pushing this program, which had been severely lacking, to the forefront of Air Force Leadership.  Please share this with your local membership and fellow Airmen that improvements like this won't happen without their continued support in AFSA.

CSAF Vector Newsletter

I would highly encourage you to download and read the 7 powerful pages of CSAF, General Schwartz vision (Titled CSAF's Vector) for the Air Force and its officer, enlisted, families - including the Guard and Reserves. I made particular note of his inclusion of two of the concerns that AFSA certainly got his attention on. They are on page 5 of his statement and address the Child Care and Exceptional Family Needs areas. The current "hype" you read about these areas all over the Air Force is the direct result of personal meetings with Lt General Newton (A1), General Schwartz, and Secretary Donley.

I want you to know in spite of our membership/retention concerns, we are still "the voice of the enlisted" and are being listened to for enhancement of programs affecting our enlisted men, women, and their families.

Respectfully, Doc

John R. "Doc" McCauslin, CMSgt(Ret)
