Have you wanted to put your chapter on the web but don't really know how to make it happen or figured it would be too much work? Division 89 wants to help our chapters get on the web and is happy to announce several services we can provide for you.
1. Domain Name Registration: A domain name is your address on the Internet. You can either manage your own domain name, or the division can manage it for you. If you don't want to manage your domain name, the division will manage this for you. The cost for this service is the actual amount charged for your domain name(s).
2. Webhosting: We will offer two different levels of webhosting, the first will be for a fully operational site using the Concrete5 Content Management System or a "Spalsh" site also using Concrete5. If you want to run other scripts on your site other than Concrete5, that is acceptable as long as bandwidth and server usage is inline with a normal Concrete5 website. We will work with you on this to come up with an acceptable solution.
- Full Site: Costs $50.00/year and includes a fully installed Concrete5 website. Your site will also get 2GB of bandwidth each month which is more than enough to run a typical installation.
- Spalsh Site: Costs $25.00/year and includes a Home, Leadership, and General Information page. This type of site is just designed to get your chapter on the web with basic information for your chapter. Once it is set-up, you will have to accomplish minimal maintenance to keep it up and running.
3. Technical Assitance: Concrete5 is a very simple to use Content Management System. If you can use Microsoft Word, you can use Concrete5. To learn more, see the Concrete5 website. If you choose to run your site using Concrete5, the division will assist you with training and installation of add-ons and themes from the Concrete5 Market Place.
