Starting later this year, Division 89 will offer web hosting services and assistance to our chapters that want to establish a web presence.
There will be two levels of assistance we will provide, the first will be for a simple "Splash" page that will get your chapter on the web. This is ideal for a chapter that wants to make basic information about the chapter available to their membership such as meeting times, meeting minutes, chain of command, etc. These sites will normally consist of around 3 pages and the yearly cost will be $25.00/year.
The second level will be for a fully operational Concrete5 website. Concrete5 is a fully functional CMS that is easier to use than other options. If you can use MS Word, you can use Concrete5. This type of full site will allow you to build a site similar to our very own Division 89 website. This option will run $50.00/year and the division webmaster will provide technical support to get you up and running.
The Division will also assist you in obtaining a domain name for your website and can manage that for you if you like. Costs for domain names run between $10-$20/year.
Through the next several months, we will be transitioning the Chapter 872 and Chapter 881 websites to this service for testing and once that is completed, we will bring other chapters online as we receive requests.
